How the profit is calculated

Profit (in the quote currency) = (exit − entry) × contract size × lots for a buy, and the reverse for a sell, converted to your account currency at the rate you provide. The result is gross — before spread, commission and swap.

Frequently asked questions

Is this profit before or after costs?

It is gross profit from the price move only. Spread, commission, swap and slippage are not included — your net result will be lower. Confirm costs with your broker.

Can I use it to plan a target?

Yes. Enter a hypothetical exit to see what a given target would be worth, or a stop level to see the loss. This is a planning estimate, not a guarantee of fills at those prices.

Why is my broker's figure slightly different?

Differences usually come from the exact contract size, the conversion rate at the moment of the trade, and costs. Adjust the contract size and rate to match your broker for a closer estimate.
